Awards The 2013 International Awards--Maritime Person of the Year, Member of the Year, and Port of the Year--will be presented at this year's Annual Convention, to be held October 2-4 in Arlington, Virginia. A call for nominations will be circulated in June. Each year since 1984, the Propeller Club has given awards for outstanding leadership and support of the Club and the maritime industry. The awards consist of Propeller Club Member of the Year, Maritime Person of the Year and the Propeller Club Port of the Year. Similar Member of the Year and Maritime Person of the Year awards are presented locally by many Propeller Club Ports, and those local Ports are encouraged to nominate their recipients for honors at the regional and international levels. An awards committee appointed by the President is responsible for selection of each year’s international awards recipients. A list of all past recipients of the award can be found here. |
